Self-Service Page Navigation
The Help feature in Colleague Self-Service is adaptive and will provide help topics relative to the current page you are viewing in Self-Service. Please click the ? Help link in the upper right corner of the page for additional assistance.
Instructions to Access Self-Service:
- Go to www.westerntc.edu
- Click on the Current Students link
- Click on the MyWestern link
- Login by entering your student email address as the username and your password.
- Click on the Self-Service link in the Self-Service card.

Home Page
The Self-Service home page includes category tiles, a left-hand menu, a notifications banner (if you have a current task/notification), Help and Sign Out buttons, along with Your User Icon and Account.
Here are links to additional information for category tiles:
- Notifications
- You will get a notification in the top right of the screen. This will have a Notification title and description, along with a link you can click.

- You can review/edit your Personal Information by clicking the User Icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
- User Profile Review and edit your Personal Information
- Address, Personal Email Address, Phone Number, Pronouns, Nickname, etc.
- Emergency Information Review or add Emergency Contacts
- You can enable the Health Conditions option.
- When creating a new contact, you can select either/both Medical emergency or Missing person emergency.

Left-Hand Menu
The Left-Hand Menu is a great navigation tool. You will find all the major categories with drop-downs to subcategories and links to topic pages. Using the Left-Hand menu can help speed up navigation when compared to using the home page Tiles. Each subcategory and topic link can be accessed here, which eliminates the need for access clicking.
- To open the Left-Hand menu click on the 3 horizontal line icon in the top left of the screen
- You can then click on one of the three Categories.
- Financial Information
- Academics
- User Options
- You can then select a subcategory by clicking the drop-down arrow.
- Then click on a topic to open that web page.
- Then click on a topic to open that web page.
