Setup Multi-Factor Email Authentication

This document provides information on how to setup and use the two-factor authentication for accessing your email account off campus.

Options for Setting Up Authentication:

1. Use a mobile app (This is the preferred method for authentication) – Use the Microsoft Authenticator App to generate an authentication code. This app can be downloaded from the Apple app Store or Google Play Store. It will be beneficial to also install a QR Code Scanner/Reader App on your smartphone so you can use it to read the QR code that is generated as part of the setup process. This process is the least intrusive to use. Here is a link to a video on how to setup the Authenticator App: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWbkLuI4g30

We suggest that you use the Outlook App on your mobile device.
